Background
Welcome to my website. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California and New York, with a practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. I specialize in evidence-based treatment of clinically complex emotional and behavioral problems in adolescents and adults. I also work with couples and families, conduct group therapy, and provide informational workshops and training seminars for both professional and lay audiences.
I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University, and completed my clinical training at the Yale Psychiatric Institute in New Haven, Connecticut. I have over 20 years of experience as a practicing clinician, including intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)and Skills Training for adults, adolescents, and families. DBT has demonstrated efficacy in treating borderline personality disorder and reducing self-harmful and suicidal behaviors. I also am certified in Prolonged Exposure Therapy, a proven treatment for reducing the debilitating symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.
