Dr. Linda Herreid
Background
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my site. My name is Linda Herreid, and I have practiced psychology in the Chicago area since 1991. Since earning a doctoral degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1991, I have worked in a variety of outpatient clinical settings. My clinical psychology experience has been with children, adolescents and adults with developmental, adjustment, or relationship issues.
I am also a former special education teacher, and have worked with children and families since 1978. I have experience in education at all levels, from preschool to adult education. In 2002, I became certified as a School Psychologist, and work in a public school in that capacity.
I maintain this small private practice in order to do work that I love, seeing individuals to enhance the quality of their emotional health. Client goals can be achieved in the following ways.
-Identify life situations that cause problems in daily living or relationships.
-Figure out better ways to deal with challenges.
-Change problem behaviors, habits, and thoughts.
Psychotherapy can vary depending on the personality of both the therpist and the client, and the particular issues the client brings. Take the time to find a psychologist with whom you feel comfortable enough to express your deepest concerns.
